CHIARA BERTANI Interview

Chiara Bertani, a Venetian company specialized in knitwear, chooses only raw materials from selected Italian companies, offering excellent value for money.

Where are the company and the production based?

The company where I create and produce the collection is in Verona we are a small Venetian family-run company. We have worked for many world-famous Italian brands then when they relocated production to China with a lot of courage we started to create our own collection. Our supply chain is very short, we buy raw materials only from selected Italian companies, the laboratories with which we collaborate are very close to us and we have kept the same partnerships for two generations.

What is your company’s philosophy?

The only philosophy that has always accompanied me is to dress women with comfortable garments, with a contemporary and personal style. I believe that making knitwear requires great technical knowledge of workmanship and a lot of experience in choosing raw materials.

What kind of product offer do you offer and what are its strengths?

I create and produce knit dresses for women who like me love to play with fashion, colors and contrasts. Our strength, being also the producers of the brand, is to provide the end customer with a garment that is excellent value for money, with a style recognizable for its femininity, attention to detail and chromatic taste.

What are the foundations on which you want to invest in for future growth?

I have not yet thought about how to invest for growth, it was already challenging enough to take the hard blow associated to the pandemic.
