VIGANO' ALTAMODA Galleria&Friends

Since 1919 between jewelry and fashion.

Sequins, beads and memorabilia from a century ago for passion of "do it yourself", with Laura, the fourth generation of the Viganò family.A dip in the Belle Epoque, between chandeliers of the early twentieth century, mosaics of colored stones and klimtiano posters. It all begins with Carlo Viganò, who in 1919 took over a haberdashery which he gave his name and style. It sells sequins, feathers, beads, sequins and embroideries for ladies up to the drastic change of fashion impressed by Fascism. Carlo takes over a second sales point, in the heart of the Galleria Vittorio Emanuele, where he sells quality jewelery and jewelery and where the family stayed until 2016. In the second post-war period, his son Gianni took over and continued until the 1990s, facing the great crisis of the 1968 costumes, when the female aesthetic representation on which the Viganò family had built its success becomes a dangerous status symbol to show off, but fortunately fashions are in continuous transformation.

In the last few decades there has been the boom of "do-it-yourself" with many passionate ladies who come here to stock up to compose their own jewels, madly appreciating the pearls and beads of a century ago that can still be found here. In 1984, Carlo's nephew, Giancarlo, took over and today shares the management of the double store with his daughter Laura, the fourth generation of Viganò.
