The secret of Rada's success, told by the founder Daniela Ravaioli

The secret of Radà's success as told by its founder Daniela Ravaioli

In 1982 Daniela Ravaioli made her dream come true founding the brand Radà. Daniela's creativity holds the highest expression of a free woman willing to be represented by unconventional accessories, made of floral elements and living shapes  interpreted through colorful stones and melted metals, with the aim of giving life to elements and worlds never seen before. An immediate success the one achieved by the brand Radà that manages to break through the desire of those women seeking to identify themselves in an innovative and original style. The glass working techniques, mixed with pearls - her distinctive feature - give an added and unmistakable value to Daniela Ravaioli's taste.

After the first French tradeshow, the brand's fame grew year after year, together with its collections, which stand out for the ability to define the look through light and the unique character of its design. The ability to constantly stay up to date translates into contemporary collections that reach the coolest cities overseas: from Paris to Dubai, Seoul and Tokyo, Radà is synonymous of refinement and style renewing itself over time.

The secret of Radà's success as told by its founder Daniela Ravaioli

A story based on a non-stop research and experimentation of shapes and materials, to create items that stay true to their origins over the time.

Let's talk about the origins of the brand. Radà was founded in 1982. But when did Daniela Ravaioli's first get inspired?

It all started after my Arts studies, when the need of doing something of my own grew inside me. I wanted to create a different kind of jewelry, with materials coming from natural landscape, such as shells from the seashore; research and recovery materials such as furs from flea markets, along with studs, buttons, badges and vintage jewelry, unique pieces found in cool London markets like Portobello.

Bright colors and a mixture of materials enlighting the face. Some of them take you back to times gone by, while some others definitely have contemporary cuts. Which is the woman inspiring the SS22 collection?

The woman in Radà SS22 collection is a woman who looks to the future, who doesn't turn back to the past, who loves to be unique, and who is able to customize a basic dress and make it a unique piece through accessories.

Which material does Daniela Ravaioli prefer?

I have always loved glass stones, baroque-style pearls, colorful rhinestones full of light.

What is the accessory that a woman should never be miss?

This depends on the personality of each woman. I personally can't do without rings, other women can't do without necklaces and earrings. I think of a woman who doesn't follow fashion trends but who faithfully interprets herself, freely finding the key to interpret her own personality.
