The inclusive fashion of Casa Preti

SHARE

The new generation of fashion is strengthened by increasingly innovative projects in terms of design and content. With a special eye towards a no-gender audience, innovative cuts and research of valuable fabrics. Casa Preti is a reality born from the meeting between the Italian tailor Mattia Piazza and the Swiss architect Steve Gallay, who give life to the fashion house whose name comes from the Neapolitan school of Caravaggio painter Mattia Preti. Casa Preti was born from an idea of visionary craftsmanship that draws inspiration from the new needs of contemporary style, in which the concept of beauty goes hand in hand with deeper values, linked to its production chain, managed in a virtuous way thanks to local production and Italian fabrics. Casa Preti today feels the need to keep in mind one of its basic values: grace, which comes to life through the choice of cuts and the relationship with the customer.
A new concept of luxury interpreted as the possibility to take the right time both in production and in the choice, with garments that tell the spontaneity of our DNA through vinyl and colored materials that interact with the Italian sartorial tradition and the rigor of the shapes.

The SS22 collection is called Pelle.
A name that gets to the heart of the deepening of the theme of the human body. A collection, in fact, that looks at society as a body, in which each individual is indispensable. A body that does not want to hide its flaws: stretch marks, indelible signs, which become handmade fabrics. There is a need from the point of view of production and consciousness to return to a horizontal exchange of values, for CASA PRETI, this is linked to the union of bodies and the concept of social sustainability.

The knitwear is defined by the contrast between empty and full spaces, like furrows on our skin. The colors recall an idealized classicism, the purple red, the green of the olive trees, the white of the robes. "As stretch marks mark bodies, so do our experiences modify our lives, our behaviors and habits. Sustainability, inclusiveness and love want to be the starting point to generate a virtuous circle to which we are all called to respond."

Special project - Ama Collection
The Ama collection, together with an installation, was created with the aim of bringing attention to inclusion, women, disability and the lgbtq+ community.

A response to the growing climate of aggression out in our country over the past few years.

In the installation appears a twenty meters long dress, inspired by Plato's Symposium, which represents the union of two individuals in a single body. In an environment populated by voices, insults and laughter, just those that too often accompany the days of the most aggrieved categories.

"We believe that the path to full inclusion cannot accept compromises by directing our efforts towards the themes we hold most dear, inclusion, love and life."
