T-COAT Interview

 

What is fashion to you?

Fashion is a very personal and intimate communication as we wear it on our skin and it can completely change the image we give of ourselves to the outside world.

When and why did you start your brand?

T_coat was conceived in 2019 and the first collection was the FW 2020/21. I wanted to make a single-product collection of outerwear (the jacket-shirt), which I’ve always been passionate about.  Because if you want to do it well you need know-how, high tailoring and have a lot of passion with the particularity that the models proposed are the same for man and women in key therefore, genderless. This has been a huge challenge.

Where do you get your inspiration from when you create?

From the street, from Instagram and from a thousand of other sources always thinking about the everyday use of the garments. Nonetheless characterized by very refined and constant stylistic details, in order to create a strong brand identity.

How would you describe the collection you are presenting at White Show Milano?

It’s timeless, preppy and cozy.

Do you have any future projects?

T_COAT is in its third season and therefore by birth and by mission it’s a forward-looking project. The aim is to dialogue with the best Italian and international retailers and then open dedicated corners/ spaces to highlight the brand’s DNA.
