SIYU Interview

Siyu is a ready-to-wear and beachwear brand born in 2010 in Valencia, which has always remained linked to the values of quality and design. It was born from the encounter of three women and their passion for art and fashion: Aina, Pilar and Camino, as explained in the interview below.

What is fashion to you?

At Siyu, we see fashion as an art form, the best way to express our concerns and passions. Fashion for us is harmony, colour and originality, all elements that are always present in our collections.

When and why did you start your brand?

Siyu was created in 2010 in Valencia, from the encounter of three women and their passion for art and fashion: Aina, Pilar and Camino. The idea was to create a brand that stood out from the crowd that draws attention to the woman who wears it, without being vulgar, making her feel comfortable and beautiful.

Where do you get your inspiration from when you create?

Siyu takes inspiration from all forms of art and encounters with other cultures: a painting, a book, a record or a trip.

How would you describe the collection you will present at White Show Milano?

The new Siyu fall-winter 2021/22 collection, is inspired by architectural rationalism, creating simple and functional lines based on simple geometric shapes without sacrificing warmth and sensuality. This concept expresses a colourful winter and the light within our world, always in the name of femininity.

Do you have any future projects?

We have always been promoters of slow fashion and responsible purchases, our garments are made and designed to last over time. To follow our mission, we are trying to produce our collections with responsible materials. In our fall-winter 2021/22 collection, we have included garments produced with high quality recycled thread. We plan to continue expanding this aspect of our productions.
