What is fashion for you?

Fashion is a trend, a cyclical proposal that allows people to be part of a system. Models, materials, and colors reflect the ideas and the look of a given moment, of a given situation. Style is different: it is charisma, taste, or rather good taste, which is innate and cannot be learned, which originates from the perception of a person and then enters the DNA of a company, and which allows unusual, intriguing combinations, capable of giving a strong identity. 

When and why did you start your brand?

We were born in 1960. We make shoes with the experience of those who started from scratch and never stopped learning. We took our first steps in the cradle of the Riviera. Sandro Vicari travels and takes us around the world. In just a few years, we arrived in Germany, England, France and got to know Europe. Then the world. Up to America and Russia. Sandro Vicari, a small shoe factory, becomes a brand that dresses the feet of an elegant woman who likes beauty.

Where do you take inspiration from when you create?

Sandro Vicari shoes were born a few kilometers from Piazza San Marco, along the Riviera del Brenta, in an area rich in districts and green corners with flower gardens, noble residences, and willows lapped by the current. Every model, every heel, every sole, every accessory takes shape in a footwear district of excellence, famous worldwide for over one hundred years.

How would you describe the collection you will present at White Show Milano?

The autumn-winter 2021/22 collection embodies the essence of all Vicari collections: clean lines, precious details, a recognizable game of contrasts. The collection is elegant with a touch of boldness for an independent and sensual woman—a signature: an idea's identity.

Future projects? 

We design the future: our experience determines our future. We have the challenge to win: innovate and renew, creating concrete outputs and products as the customer wants them.
