ORNELLA BIJOUX Galleria&Friends

Since 1944 apartment, laboratory, museum of jewels and fashion.

Simona Scala continues the atelier where she has created unique creations that have entered the history of fashion, the great artist Maria Vittoria Albani, who has been missing for a few months. Maria Vittoria Albani was an icon of artisanal and Haute Couture jewelry, world famous and tireless until her last breath, which reached her by now very old on April 25th of this year. "He worked up to a few days before he died, this laboratory was his reason for living and he kept it standing up and running to the last. Even in the last week of his life he created plexiglass pins from home that are still on display in the workshop. And he even wanted to put a bed in the lab to avoid having to travel and be able to not lose a day in his world ". This is the memory full of passion and gratitude of Simona Scala, her daughter, who inherited the apartment - laboratory - museum - art temple in via Monte Cervino, 4.

It is difficult to define this place, made up of shelves, sideboards and drawers full of extraordinary creations, which tell a hundred years of fashion and costume history. The creations of Maria Vittoria Albani were exhibited at the Traveling Exhibition of the Teatro alla Scala in Milan curated by Swarovski, enchanted the Marbella jet set and were appreciated at the Victoria Museum in London, as well as in New York, Tokyo and in the most important capitals of the world.
