OCTOGONY Interview

 

The brand Octogony was launched in February 2021 by the Creative Director Charbel Abou Zeidan as a response to our desire to create a new segment in leather goods, situated in that perfect spot between luxury and affordable. 

What is style for you?

Style is a pragmatic yet creative form of personal expression. It’s a bold reaction to everything we feel and everything happening around us.

When and why did you launch your brand?

The brand was launched in February 2021 as a response to our desire to create a new segment in leather goods, situated in that perfect spot between luxury and affordable. We also wanted to offer highly functional products in high quality materials, adapted to the needs of today’s women and men. Our bags should elevate and empower people’s active lifestyles, combining beauty and functionality to meet their daily demands.

What are you inspired by when you create?

Octogony is infused by brutalist architecture and the spirit of the 60’s, while taking its cues from today’s society.

How would you describe the collection you are presenting at the Milan White Show?

Octogony is a bold, upscale, timeless brand offering highly-functional minimalist products. It’s a perfect combination of aesthetics and pragmatism. Functional modularity is Octogony’s defining characteristic. Several volumes of bags are accompanied by their very own secondary bags and accessories and customized with a choice of straps. The octangle is Octogony’s heart, emerging through every custom-made detail.

Any future projects? 

To develop and expand the collection, especially in other product categories.
