Ahirain: outwear between couture and innovation

By Caterina Di Iorgi

Modern unconventionality, obsession for details, and wearability coupled with passion and innovation: these values belong to Ahirain, born in 2016 from the idea of three young Tuscan entrepreneurs, the siblings Azzurra and Giampaolo Morelli with Andrea Pucci.

A new fashion project with garments designed for contemporary travelers. An innovative proposal aimed at finding a meeting point among fashion, trends, and latest technologies. An idea reiterated by obsessive research that combines style, functionality, construction of garments enriched by special fabrics and surprising details.

The protagonists are the comfy cotton, a yarn-dyed fabric that looks pre-washed and is resistant to rain and wind, the techno-lace that creates 3D effects on the surface with a reactive print, the duchess satin, the brand's best-seller, lightened and quilted, that gives elegance to the garments with its touch of satin.

For this spring and summer 2021, Ahirain takes inspiration from the water for its first collection, working on fabrics with new chromatic effects.

The collection is made of few iconic pieces of outwear characterized by volume and couture cuts: caban, parka, oversized dust coat, large shirts with drawstring at the waist, and new bomber jackets with balloon sleeves.

The color palette focuses on hues of blue, declined into all its shades, from light blue to deep blue and Mediterranean notes of green, lemon yellow, and hunter green.

The Ahirain's man for this spring and summer 2021 is sporty, dynamic, hyper-technological. He aims at the functionality and searches for new performances through comfy lines, intelligent details, and fabrics with a special touch.

The chosen fabrics are cotton and rainproof and windproof nylon, breathable bi-stretch with a three-dimensional effect, oriented to urban travel. The rain-coat is also proposed in fit slim; the light trench takes a more unstructured allure; the outwear shirt features essential details.

The recall to water appears in blurred graphic patterns, deep and staggered stripes, and light and dark effects obtained from new techniques of garment dyeing.
