A conversation with: Alexandra Oliveira, Creative Director Pé De Chumbo

The sustainable project of Pé de Chumbo comes from tradition. The Made in Portugal womenswear brand brings craftsmanship to an international dimension, a company where the concept of recycling is a pillar. All garments in the collection, in fact, are handmade using recycled fabrics, reworked and assembled to design a unique style, which can now be found in top multi-brand stores in thirty countries around the world.

"We start from great attention to materials, sometimes recovered from other companies and give them new life thanks to women team able to enhance their character, working them exclusively by hand," explained Alexandra Oliveira, creative director of the brand based in Guimarães, "the result of all this process is the collection. In detail, this season carries two different souls: one sporty, one more elegant, both including the extensive use of denim canvas." In it’s 5th edition at White, Pé de Chumbo has a well-defined target audience, "We are distributed worldwide and participate in only three trade shows: Milan, Paris and New York. Our audience is made up of smart, modern women who are not afraid to stand out and indeed love to be the center of attention."
