REWORKED

 

Re-worked has a mission: to reuse the bandana, a historic fashion accessory, to transform a simple garment into a carefree patchwork of bright colours.  The origin of the bandana dates back to the Far West, when the cotton handkerchief was worn around the neck and lifted over the face to protect from dust or, in the case of bandits and outlaws, to avoid being identified, until it became a symbol of power: just think of Geronimo, the historical leader of the American Apaches. The bandana also represented the free and transgressive era of 'Easy Rider', finding itself the protagonist of millions of film appearances.  The Re-worked collection consists of patchwork shirts, made from pure Italian cotton bandanas, and jackets with a macro bandana print on ecofur and quilted cotton. The most striking element is the wide range of colours, monochrome or combined in a harmonious and explosive mix. The denim inserts and square mother-of-pearl buttons recall the mood of Texan shirts of yesteryear, lending a touch of authenticity to these original collections.  Mauro Bonamigo says of the brand: "I have always loved the bandana, and together with Roberto Mistrazzoso, I thought of giving a new life to this symbol of the 80s and 90s, which continues to be part of our world. We loved the idea of taking such a beloved accessory and reusing it to give life to everyday garments. The brand has thus become synonymous with upcycled". Re-worked is distributed by the company Vento del Sud of Treviso, owner and distributor of various brands on the national and international scene.
