In 2007 Alessandro Dagioni (Studio Modellistico CMS) founded MUT with the aim of creating one-of-a-kind leather jackets, personalised - and enhanced - through luxury luxury materials and accessories that draw on the best Italian craftsmanship. Aimed at redeveloping true Made in Italy, the project is entirely confined to a specific area corresponding to the ancient territory and the surrounding area, the ancient Etruscan territory, where all the design and production phases are concentrated of design and realisation. Mut presents itself as a set of excellences in every phase of production, bringing together different small and medium-sized companies under a single organisation, combining the typical quality of local craftsmen, typical quality of local craftsmen with modernity. The heart of the project is the prototyping and modelling department, coordinated by "master modeller" Maria Stella Ceccarelli. The cardinal principle is to develop and innovate the fit, giving the garment strength to the garment, to give the idea of enhancing and defending the body. Mut's style is foreign to stereotypes of physicality and representation of the sexes, at the same time ethereal and rough, sophisticated and metropolitan. A visionary and contemporary idea, a new way of being and approaching style. Mut addresses both men and women with a "raw" but cerebral proposal, never too precious without disdaining a bit of frivolity, capable of giving confidence and a touch of decadence a touch of timeless decadentism to an armour designed to defend itself against the asphalt of modern streets and modern scenarios. The designer speaks of his style as a "perfect imperfection", originating from a conflicting figure in which redundancy is balanced by essentiality, elegance is hidden under a hard shell, and sensuality is hidden under a hard shell. Sensuality meets severity, darkness meets light, without ever failing to be gentle and light, without ever failing to be gentle and discreet. A vision from which rigour and a sense of abandon transpire in equal measure and sense of abandonment, not by chance totally Italian.
